A simple yet delicious tofu dish, perfect served with steamed white rice as a savory main course.

Rinse the tofu and pat dry, then break it into bite-sized pieces by hand.

Heat the oil in a pan and deep-fry the tofu until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Pour out the oil from the pan, then return the fried tofu to the pan.

Add the tom yum sauce, sugar, soy sauce, and water. Stir-fry over medium heat for 5 minutes to let the flavors absorb.

Add the basil leaves, stir well, then turn off the heat. Serve hot.
