In a high speed blender, add the dates and 1 cup milk. Blend to a smooth paste.

In a sauce add the date paste and remaining milk. Bring to a boil and then simmer to desired thickness, stir constantly. Add more milk if needed.

Add in the ginger powder, cardamom powder and cinnamon powder. Mix well.

Serve in espresso shot cups with a sprinkle of cinnamon and garnished with pistachios.
