Brown the chicken leg quarters in a pot with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Add the chopped onion and let it simmer.

Add the green olives and sliced carrot. Sprinkle in cinnamon and turmeric. Let it simmer.

Pour in hot water and continue cooking until the chicken is tender.

Remove the chicken pieces and brush them with a little butter. Place them in the oven to brown.

Fry the potato until golden.
