Healthy lauki Chana Dal recipe is an easy simple fusion prepared with combination of bottle gourd and Chana Dal.
Steps

Wash & soak Chana Dal for 20 minutes. Peel and cut bottle gourd.

Take washed Chana Dal, lauki,pich of salt, turmeric powder, tomato in a pressure cooker. Add 1 cup of water. Make 3 whistles.

Now for tempering heat oil in a Kadai. Add mustard seeds, cumin, asafoetida.

Add dry red chili, clove, cinnamon stick, black pepper, chopped green chili, Taj Patta and curry leave. Add red chili powder, cumin coriander powder and garam masala.

Now open the cooker and mashed little. Add boiled Chana Dal and lauki in the Kadai. Add 1 cup of water.

Add lemon juice & jaggery. Add salt as per taste. Stir well. Boil for 3 minutes.

Lauki Chana Dal khatti matthi Dal is ready to serve. Sprinkle chopped green coriander. You can enjoy with Parathas or rice.
