Peeled garlic cloves are submerged in olive oil (or butter) and cooked slowly, either on the stovetop or in the oven, until golden.when done then cool completely.

Next add the garlic confit cloves with oil/butter to a food processor or blender.
Add parsley.
Blend until the garlic starts to turn into a thick paste. - 3
Add salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice.
Blend again until fully smooth and spreadable.
Taste and adjust seasoning or oil as needed.
Transfer to a clean glass jar or bowl.
Tips
📍Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Use within 5 to 7 days.
Always use a clean spoon.
📍If the spread firms up in the fridge, let it sit at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before using.
