Juicy meatballs with a fragrant and delicate sauce. Use fresh mushrooms if you have them, but I find dried mushrooms are more flavorful and therefore better for this dish.

Shape the minced beef into walnut-sized balls.

Soak dried porcini mushrooms in boiling water for 15 minutes.

Fry meatballs in olive oil on all sides over high heat.

Cut soaked mushrooms into pieces. Reserve the soaking liquid.

Mix cream with a little salt, mushroom liquid, pepper mix, and nutmeg. Pour over meatballs.

Simmer on low or medium heat for 20-25 minutes. Serve with rice or your favorite side.
Tips
Be sure to taste the sauce as it cooks. Adjust the seasonings to your liking.
