Then take pan, add oil and mustard, fry them. Add curry leaves, green chilli, red chilli, jeera n black pepper powder, and fry again.

Add tamarind pulp, and boil slightly. Add cooked tomato, then cooked dal, and boil it. Finally, add coriander leaves. Your hot dal rasam is ready to eat.

Serve with rice n ghee n papad
