Well its my birthday today and thought cooking myself a dessert!!wat better than payasam and that too my favourite.. Do try it out with the secret ingredient! It will be a yummy hit!

Well its my birthday today and thought cooking myself a dessert!!wat better than payasam and that too my favourite.. Do try it out with the secret ingredient! It will be a yummy hit!

Cook in a pressure cooker the Ada for around 2-3 whistles till nicely soft and done. You can make the payasam or the kheer in the cooker or else in anothr nonstick vessel.

Boil the milk with the water and add the ada with sugar and little ghee. Stir for about 10-15 minutes. Add the milkmaid and elachi powder.

Saute the nuts and raisins in 1 tablespoon of ghee till fluffed up and golden in color.

Now,the secret item, my mother's trick to thicken the sweet. Add 1 tablespoons of rice flour or powder into 1/2 cup milk or water and cook till thickening. Add into the kheer by adding milk into it.

You can add some more ghee for the wonderful smell and taste. Put the sauted dry fruits into it and stir well.

For later on, you can add more volume ir quantity to the paysam by adding 1-2cups milk.

As it sits,the paysam or sweet will be more thick creamy and rich. Enjoy hot!
