Ingredients

  • 1 tinmilkmaid nestle
  • 200 gramsmaida
  • 1 teaspoonbaking powder
  • 1 teaspoonbaking soda
  • 1 teaspooncinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonnutmeg powder
  • 1/2 cupwhite sugar
  • 1/2 cupwater warm
  • 75 gramsbutter soften
  • 150 millilitressoda aerated
  • 1 1/2 cupsmixed fruits
  • 2 - 4 tablespoonsorange juce
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla essence

  1. 1

    Soak the fruits(cashews broken,almonds crushed, nwalnuts,raisins, candied orange peel, dry grapes,black currants and tuti fruiti) in the orange juice

  2. 2

    Prepare the caramel syrup by melting sugar n a nnonstick pan..as it melts and becomes brown amber color,slowly add the warm water carefully and stir vigorous ly.

    Seive the maida,baking powder,soda powder an spices.

  4. 4

    Beat the butter with milkmaid well. Add the dry mixture,caramel and soda alternately and nicely incorporate with a whisk. No need to beat so much!

  5. 5

    Add the soaked fruits and orange juice into the batter and mix well. Add the vanilla essence.

  6. 6

    Preheat oto 180°c abd bake for 25 minutes.

  7. 7

    Dust with icing sugar and drizzle with any sauce anand garnish with cherries or strawberries!
