Stuffed Dates
These may not be the healthiest appetizer, but they are very filling and satisfying for sure!
Steps
- 1
Turn on your oven to the Broil setting. Cut the cheese into 1/2 inch rectangles/cubes. These will be stuffed into the dates.
- 2
Make a slit on the side of each date and remove the pits and tough fibres. Stuff each one with the cheese.
- 3
Cut each strip of bacon lengthwise. Wrap each strip around the stuffed dates. You may use a toothpick to secure the bacon, if needed.
- 4
Arrange the dates onto a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 6-8 minutes or until the bacon fat has rendered and the bacon is crispy. You may also flip the dates over to crisp the other side of the bacon.
- 5
Serve immediately, while the cheese is melted and the bacon is crispy.
