Ingredients

  1. 0.200 KilogramRava
  2. 3 TablespoonsOil
  3. 1onion
  4. 1.5 CupsWater
  5. 0.75 TablespoonSalt
  6. Mustard
  7. 2Chilly Green
  8. pinchTurmeric powder (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Slice onion and chilli in small pieces

  2. 2

    Put rava in kadai and heat. Keep stirring. Stop when reasonably hot and light smell comes. Slight colour change to dark brown may happen when not stirred properly or if overheated

    Reduce the flame and move the heated rava to a paper

    Immediately put oil in the kadai and heat

  5. 5

    Fry mustard

  6. 6

    Put the onion, heat. Put in chilli. Fry until onion becomes golden brown

  7. 7

    Optionally, put in a pinch of turmeric powder for the colour

  8. 8

    Add salt and water. Wait till water starts boiling

  9. 9

    As you pour the rava from the paper slowly, keep stirring.

  10. 10

    Keep stirring until it reaches the right consistency. The water should’ve dried somewhat.
