🌻Make the dough:
In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast,sugar and salt.
Add the warm milk and egg.
Mix until a rough dough forms.
Add the softened butter.
Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth, stretchy, and slightly tacky. - 2
🌻First rise:
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl.
Cover and leave in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size. - 3
🌻Shape the buns:
Punch down the dough and divide into 8–10 equal pieces.
Flatten each piece slightly and place a tablespoon of grated cheese and shredded chicken in the centre.
Pinch the edges together and shape into a cylindrical shape.
Arrange on a lined baking tray, seam-side down. - 4

🌻Second rise:
Cover loosely and let rise buns for 30–45 minutes until puffy.
Brush the buns with egg wash.
Then using a sharp knife, make a small slit in the top of bread. Add a little cheese on top and drizzle some chilli sauce/cream cheese (optional) then bake it in the oven. - 6
🌻Bake:
Preheat the oven to 190°C /170°C fan.
Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
If desired, brush with a little melted butter immediately after baking for an extra-soft crust. - 7
Serve warm while the cheese is still melty. These are excellent alongside soup, as sandwich buns, or simply with butter.
Tips
💡Tips for Extra-Fluffy Buns:
👉Use bread flour rather than plain flour.
👉Don’t add too much flour while kneading; a slightly sticky dough produces softer buns.
👉Let the dough rise fully both times.
👉For an even softer texture, replace 50 ml of the milk with double cream.
