Hey, thank you for stopping by, hope you having a great day ! Well, Today's post is very favourite in my house. Popcorn must be favourite of you and your kids too after all who doesn't like to munch popcorn either it is a movie show or a cartoon show. Today evening I made these for my gals and we were chatting about the whole day what happen in school etc and then my elder one suggested mumma why don't you share how do you make these on your recipe blog. I said yes that's a great idea .. So here I am with a quick snack option.
My gals loves popcorn and her friends too ! it's almost everytime there in our birthday party menu and trust me the glow in eyes when kids are served popcorn is always amazing. They will be like wow popcorn! I never like buying those instant popcorn pack readily available in market. buying from street vendors who pops popcorn in a big handi is a good option buy why not making it at home with dried corn seeds. These tastes best when just fresh hot out of pot, crispy and pudina flavour gives a fresh feels and is great to munch on. Or you can make plain without any flavour too or just sprinkle with some chat masala. Options are many.
We get Pudina flavoured masala powder for chips and frymes readily available in market in my home town in Indore and that tastes great but we don't get it everywhere so I tried making it home and it came out just perfect according to my choice and its home made with best of ingredients.

Steps

5 mins
  1. 1

To make Pudina masala : clean, wash, dry Pudina leaves till crisp (this works best in hot weather). Put all the ingredients in mixi n churn them until fine powder is formed, store in air tight containe.

  2. 2

Take a thick bottom pan with lid or take a cooker instead remove whistle from lid.

  3. 3

Add oil to pan heat it add corn seeds salt n turmeric powde, keep staring it so that seeds are well coated with salt n turmeric powder, as soon as one or two seeds start to pop close the lid loosely N flame on medium to low.

  4. 4

Now listen pop sound when pop sound reduces switch off flame and remove lid in a tilted manner so that oil and water droplets which are there on the lid don't fall on popcorn (this droplets can make popcorn soft n soggy).

  5. 5

Remove in a big bowl and sprinkle Pudina powder, toss well n enjoy munching them.
