Peanut Gram dal chutney

This is a perfect chutney that goes with idly, dosa. And almost every road side hotel which serves breakfast should have this chutney in their menu in our state. This is very easy recipe with less time taking and process.
Recently i ate this chutney when we ordered dosa in a restaurant in shanghai recently. Swear me! For this chutney we ordered another dosa. And i tried to prepare the same one by just guessing the ingredients. I will always use either green chilli or red chilli for chutneys. But this chutney is prepared by mix of both.

Steps

First heat a pan, add oil. Once oil is hot saute peanuts, red chillis, green chillis, cumin seeds and garlic evenly.

Add tamarind and switch off the stove. Let it cool down.

Now add roasted chana dal and salt to mixer grinder with this peanuts and grind to a smooth paste by adding water slowly.

Remove to a serving bowl and and put tempering. (i havent put tempering) Serve with hot idly.
