Steps

Pre-heat your oven to 200°C or 190°C for fan ovens.

Cream the butter and sugar together untill light and fluffy.

Slowly add the eggs then vanilla extract to the creamed butter and sugar.

Mix in the flour making sure not to over mix or you fairy cake could become really dry.

Fold your currants (or any other ingredient) in to the mixture.

Line a muffin tin with muffin cases and add your mixture to that. Bake for 12-15 minutes in your heated oven.

Leave to cool before eating (if you can!)
