Home-made granola (toasted muesli)

It took me ages to actually start making home-made granola (basically toasted muesli) because it seemed such a palarva getting all the ingredients necessary to make it. But actually it's really versatile and you can change grains, nuts and fruits according to what you have handy. Also it keeps well in an air tight container for weeks. So lots of healthy breakfasts in store once you do get round to making it. Delicious with yoghurt, kefir, soy milk or normal milk.

Steps
- 1
Chop the nuts
- 2
Put all the dry ingredients into a large bowl
- 3
Heat the oil and honey over a low heat, and when they are nicely blended, pour over the dry granola ingredients. Stir while heating and don't allow to get hot enough to bubble
- 4
Mix very well with a spoon or with your hands
- 5
Lightly grease your oven tray and fill with the granola. Smooth over with your hands so there are no gaps
- 6
Put in the oven for 35 minutes at 150º. Each ten minutes, carefully take the tray out and stir around a bit.
- 7
After half an hour it should be ready to take out of the oven and left for 10 minutes or so in the tray to cool
- 8
Put the granola into a bowl, add the dried fruit of your choice and stir well
- 9
Store in an airtight jar and enjoy :-)
