Rinse rice for a couple of times, spread rice on a plate and allow them to dry.

Meanwhile take 2 mangoes cut them into pieces and make a smooth puree.

Once the rice is dried up grind in semi fine paste.

In a thick bottomed pan add 3 cups of milk keeping the flame low.

When the milk starts to boil, add the grinded rice paste and stir it well.

Next add sugar stir well and cook on low flame stirring in short intervals.

After few minutes you will notice the mixture will thickened and the rice is cooked.

Switch off the flame do not over cook as it will end up burning the base.

Add few saffron strands along with sliced alomonds and pistachios and allow the mixture to cool down completely.

Once the phirni has cooled down add mango puree and mix it very well.

Now add mango phirni in glass bowls garnish with sliced almonds and pistachios.

Cover and refrigerate for 30-40 mins and serve chilled!
