Stir fry the onions and oil. then add the tomatoes. after 5 mins add 1 liter of water and a pinch of salt. (add tomato paste to give it color)

Let it cook for 30 mins till all the water is diminished. cover the rice even as you remove from heat to continue steaming.

Place the beef in an oven to grill until both sides are cooked.

Prepare kachumbari with carrots, coriander and onions
