Ingredients

  1. 750 ggrain parboiled rice
  2. 2cooking spoon of tomato paste
  3. Pepper and salt (to taste)
  4. 2medium onions
  5. cubesKnorr
  6. 1/2 teaspoonthyme
  7. 1/2 teaspooncurry powder
  8. 1full spring onion

Steps

  1. 1

    Pour the chicken stock and the tomato stew into a sizeable pot and leave to boil.

  2. 2

    Add the drained parboiled rice, curry powder, salt and pepper to taste

  3. 3

    The water level should be the same level of the rice. This is to ensure that all the water dries up by the time the rice is cooked.

  4. 4

    Cover the pot and leave to cook on low to medium heat. This way the rice does not burn before the water dries up.

  5. 5

    Turn off heat as soon as water dries up, put the fried beef on top and dress with spring onions. Serve hot
