🇮🇩 Bubur Tinutuan Sederhana (Simple Tinutuan Rice Porridge)

🇮🇩 Indonesian dish. Tinutuan is a rice porridge cooked with sweet potato/pumpkin, sweet corn, spinach. It's originally from Manado City, in Sulawesi Island. Usually serve with salted fish, fried shallots and sambal (chilli paste). But today I made this for my toddler's breakfast so I put leftover roast chicken and boiled egg instead of salted fish, I also skip sambal. She really likes it eventhough she couldn't finish it all and end up in my tummy 🤣

Ingredients

  • 1 cupleftover rice
  • 4 tbscorn kernell
  • 3 tbschopped sweet potato or pumpkin
  • handfull of spinach leave
  • 1bay leave
  • pinchsalt
  • 3,5 cupwater

Steps

  1. 1

    In a small pot, mix all the ingredients (except spinach). cook in low heat until the rice soft and tender become porridge. stir.

  2. 2

    When the porridge is about to cook, put the spinach and stir it, then turn off the stove.

  3. 3

    Serve in a bowl, you can add shreded fish/chicken/beef or anchovy/tofu/egg, etc. hope you enjoy it.
