Refreshing skewers with cherry tomatoes, baby mozzarella balls, and basil leaves, perfect for a buffet. They impress with their taste and appearance. The recipe, with a slight variation, is from followme.gr. For 10 skewers, we will need:

A few more tips:

If you're wondering, a 250g package (gross weight) yields about 14 mozzarella balls. To save time for other buffet dishes, prepare the skewers without adding the basil and seasoning on the platter, cover with plastic wrap, and store in the fridge. Prepare them just before serving. Be careful, though, as the pierced basil should not be left waiting for too long to avoid wilting. Good luck.

Steps

10 Minutes
  1. 1

On each skewer, thread a basil leaf, a mozzarella ball, and a cherry tomato in sequence (or first the mozzarella ball and then the basil). The cherry tomato should be last to catch any traces left by the cheese on the wood. Repeat 2 times for each skewer. Each will have 3 basil leaves, 3 mozzarella balls, and 3 cherry tomatoes.

  2. 2

Arrange the skewers on a platter. Drizzle a line of balsamic glaze over each skewer lengthwise.

  3. 3

Lightly sprinkle with dried basil and salt and pepper.

  4. 4

Serve while still cool from the fridge.
