Ingredients

  • 1-1.5 kglean beef for stew 
  • 3medium onions
  • 2garlics
  • 1pepper (optional) 
  • ground tomato, if you don't have fresh tomato add 1 can of finely chopped tomato cubes 
  • 1 tbsptomato paste 
  • wine for deglazing 
  • salt 
  • oil 
  • pepper 
  • some pimento grains 
  • some cloves

Steps

  1. 1

    In a pot, sauté the meat in the oil until golden brown.  

  2. 2

    As soon as it browns, add the finely chopped onion, chopped garlic and pepper. When everything is sautéed, deglaze with the wine. 

  3. 3

    Let it boil for about 5 minutes and then add the tomato. Also add the tomato paste, pepper, cloves and pimento with plenty of water for it to boil. 

  4. 4

    If you see that it requires additional water as it boils, add some hot water from the kettle. 

  5. 5

    Finally, add the salt.
