We all love bengali sweets a lot , Langchas are one such sweet which is our recent favorite. This is very similar to gulab jamun and tastes delicious. There are many versions a langcha can be made , this recipe is very simple made with milk powder.

We all love bengali sweets a lot , Langchas are one such sweet which is our recent favorite. This is very similar to gulab jamun and tastes delicious. There are many versions a langcha can be made , this recipe is very simple made with milk powder.
Steps

Mix maida, milk powder, baking powder in a bowl.

Add heavy cream or milk and with gentle hands mix the mixture till it forms a soft dough.

Rest the dough for 10 mins.

In a pan take sugar water and cook in medium flame.

Let the sugar dissolve and when it starts to bubble vigorously turn off the flame.

Add cardamom and cream of tartar to the sugar syrup and mix.

Heat oil in a pan or kadai, divide the dough to equal parts and shape them to a oblong shape by rolling the dough in between your finger. Continue this for all the dough you have.

After oil is hot slide in the shape and fry them to golden brown. Don't disturb the shaped langchas in oil frequently as it may create cracks.

After they are golden brown transfer them to warm syrup and let them soak for about 1-2 hours

After they are well soaked remove from the syrup and serve.

Garnish them with some pistachios.
