Ingredients

15 minutes
  1. 3 cupskale leafs, stems removed and coarsly chopped
  2. 1 canchickpeas, drained and rinced
  3. 1/4 cupsesame seeds
  4. Juice of half lemon
  5. 1/4-1/2 cupextra virgin olive oil
  6. 1/2 teaspoonsea salt
  7. 1/2 teaspoonfresh ground black pepper
  8. 1/2 teaspoongarlic powder
  9. 2 tablespoonzataar spice mix
  10. to tasteFresh water

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Put all ingredients in food processor except for oil and water.

  2. 2

    Pulse a couple of times and scrape the sides of the bowl.

  3. 3

    Add 1/4 cup of olive oil and blend at high speed for couple of seconds.

  4. 4

    Scrape the sides of bowl and verify texture.

  5. 5

    Add up to 1/4 cup more olive oil while blending at high speed till you get consistency desired.

  6. 6

    If hummus is still too thick for your taste, add fresh water while blending at high speed till you get consistency desired.

  7. 7

    Serve with pita bread bites as an appetiser or in a sandwich as a spread.

  8. 8
