Rinse the lentils and cook them in a few cups of water. Soak the rice for 10 minutes, then add a few more cups of water to the lentils as needed.

Add a little salt, then add the rice. Stir them together, reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook until done.

Slice the onions into thin wedges and fry them in a little sunflower oil. Serve the mujadara topped with the golden-brown onions. Enjoy! You can serve it with yogurt or salad.
