Gently heat olive oil in a frying pan. Add onion, chilli and garlic and fry while stirring for one minute add lardons and cook until golden.

Add the tomato puree to the frying pan and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened a little. Season with salty taste.

While the sauce is cooking, cook the pasta(macoroni)in large sauce pan of boiling,salted water until cooked. Drain the water and drizzle with oil.

Add the basil to the sauce. Mix in the drained pasta.

Garnish with persley and serve while hot.
