Preparation: Finely chop the onion, garlic, and basil. Cut the bacon into 1-2 cm pieces.

Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and let it dry. Mix in 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil to prevent the spaghetti from sticking together.

Make the cream sauce: Add a little olive oil to a pan. Add the bacon and stir until it firms up. Add the garlic and onion and sauté together. Add some pepper (no need for extra seasoning as the bacon is already salty). Pour in the heavy cream and unsweetened milk (use unsweetened milk to reduce richness if you prefer a lighter dish). Gradually add the grated cheese and stir until it melts completely and blends with the cream sauce. Add a little seasoning to taste. Add the basil.

Add the oregano for an Italian flavor. Finally, add the spaghetti. Stir the spaghetti to absorb the sauce for about 1-2 minutes, then serve on a plate. This dish is rich and creamy, so consider serving it with a salad to balance it out. Good luck to everyone.
