Katakuriko Coffee Warabi Mochi

I modified this recipe https://cookpad.wasmer.app/us/recipes/144952-katakuriko-matcha-warabi-mochi. I think it will taste great with other flavors as well! Maybe next time I'll try roasted tea or mango.

I modified this recipe https://cookpad.wasmer.app/us/recipes/144952-katakuriko-matcha-warabi-mochi. I think it will taste great with other flavors as well! Maybe next time I'll try roasted tea or mango.
Steps
- 1
Line the mold with the oil.
- 2
Combine warm water with instant coffee. Mix it until the coffee dissolves. Wait until it cools.
- 3
Combine water + coffee with katakuriko, sugar, and vanilla extract in a pan.
- 4
Use low heat. Continue stirring until the mixture becomes thick, a bit translucent, and can be lifted with the spatula.
- 5
Put it on the oiled mold. When it is cool, store it in the fridge before slicing it.
- 6
My kids eat this with whipped cream. But I think it is also tasty without anything else.
