Ingredients

  1. 1 each9" Deep Dish Pie Crust
  2. 1 cupPecans, Halves or Pieces
  3. 1/2 cupSugar
  4. 1/2 cupBrown Sugar, Packed
  5. 1/2 cupCorn Syrup
  6. 1/4 cupBourbon Whisky
  7. 1 tbspFlour
  8. 4 eachEggs
  9. 1/4 lbButter, Unsalted (1 Stick)
  10. 1/2 cupSemisweet (or bittersweet) chocolate chips

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F

  2. 2

    Gently melt butter on stove top or in a microwave. When the butter is melted, but just before it simmers, add chocolate chips and stir until fully melted.

    Put pecans into pie crust and set aside.

    Combine sugars, corn syrup, bourbon, and flour in a bowl and combine thoroughly.

    Whisk in eggs, two at a time, untill fully incorporated.

    Slowly whisk in melted butter and chocolate until completely emulsified.

  7. 7

    Pour liquid mixture into pie shell.

  8. 8

    Bake the pie for 1 hr and 10 min, or until completely set in the middle.

    Allow to cool completely before slicing.
