This year's new Filling is Peanut butter chips and chocolate chips (like Peanut butter cups). I also made poppy seed filling.
Both came out delicious!

Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, beat eggs.
- 2
Beat in oil, sugar, vanilla, baking powder, and salt.
- 3
Add flour gradually; mix thoroughly.
- 4
Knead until smooth enough To roll on floured board or pastry cloth.
- 5
Roll dough out in 4 portions about 1/4-inch thick.
- 6
Cut into 3 or 4 inch rounds with glass edge.
- 7
Place desired filing by teaspoonfulls in each round.
- 8
Punch together sides of circle to form triangle.
- 9
Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
- 10
Bake about 20-25 minutes in a 375° degree oven or until done.
- 11
I sometimes exchange the vanilla for chocolate extract, and replace 1 cup of the flour with 1 cup of cocoa powder for chocolate hamentaschen.
- 12
While I usually use some traditional filings like poppy seeds, I always fill some with Hershey's filled kisses such as mint, cherry cordial or caramel filled kisses.
- 13
My son just Gabe made an awesome filling idea. Pre-bake some of the cookies empty (or use pie crust beads to holds the shape). Cool completely and fill/top with ice cream!
- 14
For chocolate chip dough, add 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Challah Challah
I adapted this recipe from a popular recipe I found online, but that one used shortening and had too much salt.I sorta lazily skipped most of the kneading. And I think that's why the loaves didn't really have a true braided definition like you would expect from a challah. Probably should have used a bit more flour as well. But, it turned out so good that I'm not sure I want to do it the right way. Ryan Goodwin -

Hamentashen Hamentashen
My Hadassah chapter in Pittsburgh used to get together and make these before Purim. We'd sell them to make our donor. They're so good, that we provided them to the Pittsburgh Jewish Home for the Aged. If you either cut the two flat sides of grocery bags, or line your cookie trays with parchment paper for each batch, you can just lift off hamentaschen, lay on another cut out paper bag, and not wait for them to cool.A double batch of dough should make approximately 5 dozen if you use a margarine cov as a cut. I usually use a what're glass, and they come out smaller. They also make good cookies with cinnamon sugar sprinkled over them.Option al: Paint them with beaten eg before baking to make them shiny Shirley Lipkin -
