beat eggs

bring milk to a boil on med-low heat.

slowly add milk to beaten eggs, stirring continuously

blend cornmeal and salt with hot milk and egg mixture

dissolve yeast in warm water then add to warm mush

let rise for 3-4 hrs in bowl cover with clean towel

make into pones and let rise 15-30 min

bake in moderate oven for 30 min or until golden

1 dry qt ---4 cups

1 fluid pint --- 2 cups

moderate oven --- 350°F - 375°F

Serve piping hot with butter, molasses, or any soup, stew, or chili
