Ingredients

  1. 1 can6oz Tomato Paste
  2. 32 ozBeef broth
  3. 1 eachlarge onion
  4. 2 cupchopped celery
  5. 2 cupchopped carrots
  6. 1 tbspsalt
  7. 1 tsppepper
  8. 1/2 tbsppaprika
  9. 1/2 cupflour
  10. 1/4 cupoil
  11. 5 lbBeef Short Ribs

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine salt, pepper, paprika and flour

  2. 2

    Trim, rinse and dry beef

  3. 3

    Coat the beef with all of the flour mixture

  4. 4

    Add oil to skillet and heat to 400°F Fahrenheit

  5. 5

    Brown the beef short ribs on all sides and remove from pan

  6. 6

    Chop onion and saute in remaining oil.

  7. 7

    Combine beef stock, tomato paste, carrots and celery in pan

  8. 8

    return meet to pan and cover and lower heat to simmer

  9. 9

    Simmer for two (2) hours

  10. 10

    Serve over thick egg noodles, potatoes or rice
