It is sweet and sour. Kids like it a lot. It is cholesterol free. Helps to weight loss. This is the dish of Dakshina Kannada district. Usually people do it in summer season.
Steps

Clean the lady's finger and cut the top and bottom. Cut into small round pieces.

Take the lemon sized tamarind. Clean it and add in a cup of water, squeeze well by using the finger.

Take a frying pan do the temper of mustard seeds and red chilli by adding a teaspoon of oil.

When it starts to split, add in tamarind juice and remaining water. Let it be boil.

When it starts to heat add jaggery, chopped green chilli and salt.

Now add 1/8 tsp of turmeric powder.

Add lady's finger when the tamarind juice boiling nicely to avoid the stickiness.

Close the lid, let it be boil 3 minutes in a high flame.

Now open the lid and check it whether cooked or not.

If it is enough cooked add curry leaves.

Turn off the flame and serve along rice or chapathi.
