Ingredients

14 servings
  1. cake
  2. 1/2 cupbutter or margarine
  3. 1 cupsugar
  4. 2eggs separated
  5. 2 tspbaking powder
  6. 1/2 cupall purpose flour
  7. 1 cupmilk
  8. 1 tspvanilla
  9. 1 cupchopped pecans
  10. 24graham crackers crushed (the hole pieces, like it has 4 on a cracker,that still one cracker)
  11. topping
  12. 1 largecan pineapples crush
  13. 3/4 cupsugar white
  14. 1/2 cupbrown sugar

Cooking Instructions

    preheat oven at 350 bake on 350 . using oblong cake pan or 2, 9 inch pan, spray with cooking oil or grease pan wirh oil

    cream sugar and margarine, add egg yolks.mix baking powder with graham crackers and flour, mix vanilla with milk mixture and the dry mixture to the sugar mixture.

    add nuts, beat egg whites untill it forms a peak, fold in egg whites and nuts, untill well mixed do not beat together, make sure you fold it in well.

    pour into pan, if using 2 pans evenly divide the mixture. bake for 30 minutes

    for the topping - can of crushed pineapples (drain half of the juice) and sugars, put into a large saucepan and cook untill it thickens up about 20 minutes. careful not to get any on you ,will burn you. spread topping over cake cut into square pieces. when ready to serve put whipped topping optional.
