Wash and soak rice and dal for some time,drain water completely.

Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, allow cumin seeds to crackle saute.add ginger paste and onion until the raw smell goes.add all vegetables, salt and turmeric powder and saute until the turn mushy.

Add red chilli powder and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Add drained rice dal and fry for 3 minutes. Pour water and pressure cook for 2 whistle cook until soft.serve hot.
