Ingredients

4 servings
  • 3/4 lbExtra lean ground beef
  • 2 cloveGarlic, minced
  • 1 mediumOnion, chopped
  • 1 canChopped stewed tomatoes (15 ounce)
  • 1 cupBeef broth
  • 2 tbspChili powder
  • 1 tspGround cumin
  • 1 tspDried Oregano
  • 1 canPinto beans, drained (15 ounces)
  • 1/2 tspSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    In a large saucepan, cook ground beef, garlic, and onion over medium heat, stirring until beef is browned. Drain well.

  2. 2

    Stir tomatoes with liquid, broth, chili powder, cumin, oregano into beef mixture.

  3. 3

    Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer. stirring occasionally, for one hour. Add pinto beans and salt. Cook, stirring for 15 minutes longer.

  4. 4

    Top with shredded cheese, chopped onions and sour cream!
