Taco Bake

Quick, easy, and yummy dinnner! I did four layers as opposed to 3 and baked it in a pre heated casserole dish and it came out fine. The hubby has dubbed it a keeper, so I will make it again!

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°F
- 2
Dice the peppers and onion--if you don't like spicy, you can leave these out. Get creative with it.
- 3
Put ground beef in pan with peppers; brown and crumble the meat then drain excess grease
- 4
Add in taco seasoning and water
- 5
When meat is ready, turn off heat and add in salsa. Stir until combined
- 6
Prepare an 8 inch round baking pan.
- 7
Layer bottom with tortilla
- 8
Add 1/3 meat on first layer
- 9
Add 1/3 cheese
- 10
Continue until done with all layers: another tortilla, taco meat, cheese
- 11
Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and edges are slightly golden brown
- 12
Cool for a couple minutes then slice and serve
- 13
Garnish with sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, or however you want!

I make a large casserole because my sons decimate this dish. With the chips it doesn't reheat very well. They just turn kind of soggy. If you don't need this much, only use half the ingredients. (If you don't want half a can of beans left over, you can just put the whole can in, it won't make much difference. Same with the taco seasoning.) Yarnjunkie -
