Soak the chickpeas overnight

Heat oil in a pressure cooker add cumin and fry them add a pinch of asafoetida add chopped green chillies and ginger. Saute for a few seconds.Add turmeric and red chillies powder chana and garam masala dry mango powder and chat masala and salt 2 taste

Saute the all spices for a few seconds.Add chopped tomatoes cook the tomatoes for a few minutes

When they has cooked add the chickpeas 2 cups water. Cook on high heat till you get 3 whistles. Cook for another 30 mints on slow flame

Kala chana is ready
