Ingredients

  1. 32 ozfrozen tater tots
  2. 1 lbhamburger
  3. 1diced onions & green peppers
  4. 1 1/2 oztaco mix
  5. 1water
  6. 1 cupsour cream
  7. 8 ozshredded sharp cheddar
  8. 1/8 tspsalt
  9. 1/4 tspblack pepper
  10. 1/2 tsponion powder
  11. 1diced tomato

Steps

  1. 1

    Spray 6-qt slow cooker.

  2. 2

    Add tater tots.

  3. 3

    Brown hamburger, onion & green peppers.

  4. 4

    Drain. Add water and taco mix

  5. 5

    Pour over tots.

  6. 6

    In bowl, add sour cream, salt, pepper, onion powder, & half shredded sharp cheddar.

  7. 7

    Spread over meat mix. Cover and cook on LOW for 4.5 hours without opening lid.

  8. 8

    Add remaining cheese and cover to let cheese melt about 5-10 minutes.

  9. 9

    Top with diced tomatoes.

This is really good and so simple to make. I change it up a bit by adding a can of corn, and adding chunky salsa and omitting the sour cream and using creole seasoning in place of taco seasoning. Both ways are still really good.
