Oven baked semolina pudding

After trying a halva by Bethica Das I started experimenting with semolina. This one turned out quite well so I thought I'd share it. It's a very simple and quick recipe.

After trying a halva by Bethica Das I started experimenting with semolina. This one turned out quite well so I thought I'd share it. It's a very simple and quick recipe.
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven. Melt the butter in a pan and fry the semolina in it for a few minutes.
- 2
Add the sugar and ground almonds and fry for a few minutes more.
- 3
Pour in a little milk and stir and keep adding the milk a little at a time until it's all in stirring continuously (if you add it too fast the semolina will go lumpy)
- 4
Add the cream and continue heating on a medium heat until the semolina starts to thicken.
- 5
Take off the heat and stir in the rose oil.
- 6
Butter a baking tray and pour in the semolina. Bake in a medium hot oven for 30 to 40 minutes until the pudding is light brown on top.
