I have had jam cake made by putting jam between the layers. This is a spin on it.

Steps

Preheat oven 450 degrees Fahrenheit

I used half the dough form cast iron skillet biscuits of central Florida.

Mix the shortening with the flour

Add Milk and knead on a dusted parchment paper

Roll out half the dough add the jam in center of dough.

Fold the dough inwards

Spray a baking pan with nonstick spray and add the cake folded side down.

Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes cover with butter when it's done.

Let rest for 10 minutes at least. Serve I hope you enjoy!
