Clean the Omena by hand picking one by one

Wash the Omena in a clean bowl

Spread the Omena on a tray to drip off the waste water

In a clean bowl cut and mix all the spices

Put Omena in a cooking pot add around 300ml of water and boil for ten minutes

Time while the bubbles has receded then add the soices

Seal the cooking pot lead tightly not to let out steam

Heat for about 25 minutes then open the lead.

Ensure the soup has a perfect mixture. Don't stir

Add salt and cooking oil and heat for another 7 minutes

The boiled Omena is ready. It is best served with brown ugali
