( I like grated granny smith apple); 1 cup chopped pecans; 1 for the glaze; 2 tbsp unsalted butter; 3 tbsp milk; 2 cup powdered sugar

Ingredients

1/2 cupshortening
1 1/2 cuplight brown sugar
1 tspsalt
1 tspground cinnamon
1/2 tspground nutmeg
1/4 tspground cloves
1egg
2 cupall-purpose flour
1 tspbaking soda
1/4 cupmilk
2 cupfinely chopped or grated raw apple. ( I like grated granny smith apple)
1 cupchopped pecans
1for the glaze
2 tbspunsalted butter
3 tbspmilk
2 cuppowdered sugar

Blend the first 12 ingredients together until fluffy

Scoop a tablespoon full on to a parchment paper covered baking sheet for each cookie

Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 min

For the glaze melt the butter and mix with the milk and powdered sugar and stir or blend until smooth.

Let the cookies cool then drizzle the glaze on them. Then let them set for awhile.
