Ingredients

24 servings
  1. 1/2 cupshortening
  2. 1 1/2 cuplight brown sugar
  3. 1 tspsalt
  4. 1 tspground cinnamon
  5. 1/2 tspground nutmeg
  6. 1/4 tspground cloves
  7. 1egg
  8. 2 cupall-purpose flour
  9. 1 tspbaking soda
  10. 1/4 cupmilk
  11. 2 cupfinely chopped or grated raw apple. ( I like grated granny smith apple)
  12. 1 cupchopped pecans
  13. 1for the glaze
  14. 2 tbspunsalted butter
  15. 3 tbspmilk
  16. 2 cuppowdered sugar

Cooking Instructions

    Blend the first 12 ingredients together until fluffy

  2. 2

    Scoop a tablespoon full on to a parchment paper covered baking sheet for each cookie

  3. 3

    Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 min

  4. 4

    For the glaze melt the butter and mix with the milk and powdered sugar and stir or blend until smooth.

    Let the cookies cool then drizzle the glaze on them. Then let them set for awhile.
