Shrimp and Creamy Queso Grits

I'm a big fan of shrimp and grits, so I took it upon myself to create a recipe for it! And if you love creamy grits you will love this recipe! 😄

I'm a big fan of shrimp and grits, so I took it upon myself to create a recipe for it! And if you love creamy grits you will love this recipe! 😄
Cooking Instructions

In a medium pot, add heavy cream, water and salt on medium-high heat.

Once the cream mix starts to steam, add in the grits and cook for 3 minutes.

Once the grits start to thicken add in cheese and cook for another 2-3 minutes until cheese has melted and grits are at desired thickness. Be sure to turn the heat down to medium-low and constantly stir the grits until the cheese has melted completly.

While the grits are cooking, in a seperate pan add butter and melt on medium-low heat.

In a bowl season shrimp with below seasonings.

Once butter has melted add in saffron and stir for 30 seconds before adding in the shrimp. Cook on medium-high heat for 5 minutes, or until shrimp has cooked through and is pink. Then toss in green onions, and remove from heat.

Serve grits topped with shrimp and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper!
