Ingredients

  • 1 cupsoaked black gram
  • 4 tbspGinger grated
  • 2 tbspGreen chilli chopped
  • 3 cupsCurd
  • 4 tbspSugar powder
  • 1 tbspchilli powder
  • 1 tbspcumin powder
  • 1 tbspchat masala
  • 1 bowlGreen chatni
  • 1 bowlTurmarind chatni
  • as neededPomegranate for garnishing
  • to tasteSalt
  • as neededOil for frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a mixer grind the dal chillis ginger and salt make a fine paste. Then beat the batter help with a hand beater till the paste fluffy.

    Heat oil in kadai then drop lemon sized quantity of batter into the oil then fry till golden brown. Remove these vada into a bowl then add warm water.remove and press between palms and keep aside.

  3. 3

    Beat curd well smooth and add the water red chilli, sugar cumin powder and salt mix well

  4. 4

    Place the vadas in a serving dish and pour over the vadas covering them completely pour the chatnies sprinkle pinch of chat masala cumin powder and garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds
