Caramelized Onion (Using Slow Cooker) -- 2 Ingredients!

I rely on slow cookers a lot. I use it at least once a week. And sometimes I use it to make shortcuts. We love caramelized onion, but boy, sometimes I am just too lazy to make it. So making a big batch and storing it in the fridge or the freezer is the way to go!

I rely on slow cookers a lot. I use it at least once a week. And sometimes I use it to make shortcuts. We love caramelized onion, but boy, sometimes I am just too lazy to make it. So making a big batch and storing it in the fridge or the freezer is the way to go!
Steps
- 1
Use 1 tbsp of oil to coat the bottom of the slow cooker.
- 2
Add the onions to the slow cooker. Drizzle the remaining of the oil on top
- 3
Cook LOW for 12 hours. Every a couple of hours, stir and mix them to avoid burnt onions.

Mine yields about two 400 grams jars of caramelized onion, with about 1/2 cup of broth. Don't throw away the broth! Use it in soup, stir-fries, etc. I'll share a recipe using the broth later.
