Easy ☆ Comfort Food ☆ My Sweet Potato Cakes Easy ☆ Comfort Food ☆ My Sweet Potato Cakes
I wanted to come up with a sweet potato cake recipe that I could savor the rustic deliciousness of the sweet potato.By adding 1 teaspoon rum to the ingredients, you can turn this into a delightful dessert for "grown-ups." Add rum in Step 4 with the egg yolk.Allow the liquid of the sweet potato to cook out, to make a thick, malleable batter that is tasty and shapes easily. The batter burns easily, so don't take your eyes off of the pot.If you paint the egg wash twice while baking, the cakes will turn out even nicer looking. Foods for consolation Foods for consolation
How could you possibly console someone after their mother died? I didn't know how, but I decided to do what I could best: cooking. I promised Yuichi that I would make him a dinner that ended all dinners, and here it is. International hodge-podge, that's what we decided to call it.It took two hours to make this concoction and even longer to chug them all down with the accompaniment of wine. We had a long conversation after dinner about things we have avoided for so long - Eriko, death, mourning, love, moving in,... Her death is still so unreal to me, like a distant event. One day, I hope, the only thing we can recall from this day is an amazing dinner with amazing food. Not death, not grief, not fear over how to move on.Welcome to my online kitchen!

Loaded Salad 🥗 (Comfort food) Loaded Salad 🥗 (Comfort food)
Im here to tell you that you're next salad doesn't have to be boring and bland. Also you don't need 30 minutes to chop and make your next salad. This recipe is LOADED with all the vitamins, proteins, and minerals. The delicacy of the avocados, beans, and the tanginess of the salsa is out of this world. I promise you it hits every spot of CRAVINGS and completely fulfilling. You don't even need to prepare a dressing. The secret is the Salsa 💃🏻, no not this one, the other one. I cant say there will be anything left, but you can store in fridge for up to 3 days.* note: Avocadoes will not blacken in this salad due to the citrus in the salsa. Aya
