Ingredients

2-3 people
  1. 2 cupold Basmati Rice
  2. Vegetables (as required)
  3. 2 tspoil
  4. 2green chillies
  5. 5-6pealed garlic cloves
  6. 1 tspCumin Seeds
  7. Salt as per taste
  8. 1 tspLemon Juice
  9. 1 tspgaram masala
  10. 7-8Coriander leaves to garnish

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and rince the rice well and soak them for an hour. Till then chop 1 tomato, 1 onion, 1 carrot, and coriander leaves

  2. 2

    Boil water in a vessel and add into it the soaked rice. Let it boil for 10 minutes. Turn off the gas, put a lid and cover it for 5 to 7 minutes more. Make sure the rice does not get so messhy.

    In a pan, add 2 tsp oil and jeera. Saute jeera and add the chopped chilis. When chilli changes it's colour a little, add the chopped garlic and bring it to little pink. Add chopped onion and carrot. Saute well. Add sliced Cabbage and chopped capsicum to it. Saute well. Add salt, garam masala, half tsp lemon juice and chopped tomatoes and mix well. Let them be soft a little.

    Drain the cooked rice into a filtered vessel and let the water go out. Add this rice into pan and mix them gently with cooked vegetables. Ensure that rice are not broken half.

    Rice are ready to serve hot. Garnish with coriander leaves😊
