  • 1large, fresh bread roll or 2 thick slices of fresh farmhouse bread
  • 1 tbspbutter
  • 3thick slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2thick slices of roasted ham
  • 1ripe tomato, at room temperature, quartered
  • 5 sliceof fresh cucumber
  • 2dill pickles
  • 2 tbspof any chutneys you choose...the kind you can buy at farmer's markets are perfect

    Butter the roll, put the cheese in it.

  2. 2

    Put it on the plate and arrange all the other ingredients around the plate.

  3. 3

    Serve with a pinta beer, outdoors in a beautiful spot, if possible :)
